Doyle Kauk was a lifetime learner. He was valedictorian of his Alma, Nebraska high school class and graduated with high honors from the University of Nebraska with a BS in Ag Economics & Accounting. After completing his Master's degree at the University of California, he taught at the Pomona State Polytechnic College for two years before moving back to Kansas to help develop the agricultural industry in Western Kansas for the past 50+ years.
He believed in the power of education to strengthen and grow our society. In memoriam, his family has started the Doyle Kauk Charitable Trust and endowed it to support the educational needs of the next generation of hard working Americans.
All administration of the fund is done by the family at no cost and all non-scholarship expenses are paid by the family. Therefore, 100% of all donations will support scholarships. The family will direct scholarships based on the recommendation of teaching faculty. Priority will be given to graduates of Hoxie High School or Golden Plains High School who have a financial need and continue their education at a university, college, or technical/vocational school in Kansas or Nebraska. Preference will be given to students who pursue an area of interest related to agriculture.
The Doyle Kauk Charitable Trust is a 501(c)(3) organization and donations qualify as tax exempt for most individuals and companies. See the IRS tax determination letter here.
